Word on the Street: Viking RCMP report – (COPS) report a possible B & E

    On Jan. 26, police received a complaint of an erratic driver pulling a utility trailer eastbound on Highway 14. A patrol was made however the vehicle in question was not located. The information was relayed to Wainwright RCMP for their follow up.

    That night, police were advised of a possible break and enter at a local business.

Members of the Citizens on Patrol (COPS) noted lights on in a business at an unusual time so contacted police.  Police attended and found the door unlocked however there was no sign that any criminal activity had occurred.

    During the early morning hours on Jan. 27, police were alerted by COPS of a suspicious male sleeping in a vehicle in the parking lot of a local hotel.  Police ran checks on the vehicle in question and nothing of suspicion was noted.
