Word on the Street: Viking RCMP report – attempted robbery
On Feb. 10, police received a request from another RCMP detachment, to locate a male that may be in the Viking area. The male was experiencing mental health concerns.
Extensive patrol of the Viking area failed to locate the male or the vehicle he may have been travelling in.

On Feb. 11, police received a complaint of a theft from a motor vehicle. The licence plate from the vehicle was taken off.
The vehicle was added to the police system, no suspects or witnesses were located.
Later that day, police responded to a complaint of an attempted robbery.
A male was approached by an unknown male who insisted on the victim giving him any property he had on himself. The victim shoved the suspect and then fled the scene.
The suspect did not pursue the victim, but left the area. This matter is still under investigation… For more see the Feb. 18/15 Weekly Review
