On May 12, police received a complaint of an attempted break and enter at a residence in Viking.
At the Village of Irma Council regular meeting on May 13 a new traffic bylaw, number 14-02, was passed by council after a month-long opportunity for community members to review the bylaw, ask questions and raise concerns.
According to Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Neil Loonen,
On May 5, police responded to a 911 hang up at a local motel. Upon attending the room, it was determined the call was accidental in nature. However, the member could detect the odor of cannabis marihuana.
Early last week, Viking’s Cindy Docksteader donated a 15-inch pony tail to Alfred’s Hair-Kids With Cancer program and, at the same time, raised $4,798.30 which she donated to the Viking Health Foundation to help purchase a Cardiac Telemetry machine.
