Viking to host provincial tournament

Viking will once again play host to Hockey Alberta Provincial Championships, as the Bantam boys’ C Provincial Tournament is set to take place on home ice March 12-15.

    Organization for the tournament, including coordinating scheduling, accommodations, volunteers, sponsorship and appearances by local dignitaries will begin soon to ensure the Viking Carena Complex is ready to open its doors to players from across the province.

Playdowns will begin in January to determine which teams earn the chance to compete.

    Hockey Alberta announced the hosts for the 2015 Provincial Championships this past week, naming Viking as one of 40 provincial hosts.
