SNOW, WIND SAYS WINTER IS HERE NOW
Although winter will not officially arrive until Sunday, Dec. 21, howling winds and endless falling snow followed by bone-chilling temperatures last week, made it very clear that winter is now.
The snow started falling late Wednesday night, Nov. 26, and continued into Thursday and Friday dropping an estimated 30-40 centimeters, according to Environment Canada.
Strong winds moved the snow into drifts, piling up in driveways and walks.
Travel on main street was treacherous and despite the fact that town crews worked late into the night Thursday, by Friday morning snow had re-claimed every street and alley.
