Health Centre wins award

The Viking Health Foundation congratulates the staff at the Viking Health Centre on receiving the Managing Obstetrical Risk Efficiency (MORE OB) Recognition Award.

    On hand to receive this prestigious award presented by Alberta Health Services (AHS) were Sharon Burden, Siobhan Butcher, Diane Vitek, Dr. H. Potgieter, Dr. M. Hagen, and Dr. R. Nieman.

    AHS reported that last year the Viking health care team delivered 107 babies and received the 2013-2014 MORE OB award.

AHS stated that “the Viking Health Centre has been using the MORE OB professional development program to create a culture of safety on its obstetrical unit since 2005,” and that “Of all the sites in the province…
