WARM MEMORIES FOR YOUNG GOLFER WHO GOT HOLE-IN-ONE

David Hopkins

As the cold weather closes in all around the area, and snow covers the local golf course, there is one young Viking golfer who has some warm memories which will carry him through until next spring.

David Hopkins, who turned six yesterday, can stay warm just remembering his hole-in-one, the medals he won and all the fun he had on a variety of golf courses this past season.

It has been quite a year for this young golfer. According to his dad, Petrus Hopkins, David has participated in a total of five tournaments this past season. David is the son of Petrus and Dr. Marna Hagen.

David played in the Canadian Junior Golf Association (CJGA) in Calgary where he came second in the boys eight years of age and under division for Alberta. As a result of his finish in the CJGA,  for the second year in a row, David qualified for the Callaway Junior World Championships in San Diego.
