HELIPAD EXPANSION DISCUSSED at $263,000
Planning is underway on the proposed redevelopment of the heliport at the Viking Health Centre, according to Alberta Health Services (AHS).
In a statement to the Weekly Review, AHS said the project is subject to an approved agreement between the Town of Viking and Alberta Health Services for the use of the land to accommodate the heliport as well as the funding commitment from the Viking Health Foundation.
AHS said the total estimated cost of the project is $263,000 and that it is anticipated that construction could begin in spring/summer 2015.
