HEAD SHAVING FUNDRAISER
Dennis and Cameron Schmaus, two students at Viking School, raised $4,300 for cancer research as part of the Terry Fox Run by talking their grandmother, Gail Garvie, and family friend, John Gleeson, into a hair-raising experience.
The brother and sister students had the honour of making the first cut with the electric razor to get the head shaving started.
Gail Garvie and John Gleeson agreed to having their head shaved at the request of Gail’s grandchildren. The hair cuts took place at the Viking School infront of the school assembly.
Rae of Rae’s Barber Shop, located on Viking’s main street, was on hand to finalize the new haircuts.
