BRODY IS THE NINTH SUTTER to make NHL over two generations
When Brody Sutter, the ninth Sutter to play NHL hockey, stepped onto the ice in Edmonton for the third NHL game of his career, Friday, Oct. 24, Grandma Grace Sutter watched the performance on television after she was through helping with the annual Kinsella turkey supper. (Eleven turkeys were roasted and 30 loaves of bread were turned into stuffing, serving 280 people.)
Grandma Pat Amundson was also watching the game on TV.
The 23 year old forward was called up from the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League and made his NHL debut at Madison Square Garden on Thursday, Oct. 16.
