VIKING TEAM TAKES SILVER AT CANADA 55 PLUS GAMES

The Viking team of, from left, Louise and Rod Hunter and Jan and Vern Hafso captured silver medals in mixed curling at the Canada 55 Plus Games which took place in Strathcona County August 27-30.

This nation-wide program promotes physical, spiritual and mental wellness among Canadians 55 years of age and older and features competition in 24 different events ranging from hockey and swimming to bocce and darts.

This four-day celebration of sport, culture and social well being brought over 2,500 people from across the country to Strathcona County.
