Word on the Street: Viking RCMP report
On July 21, police received a complaint of mischief to mailboxes located in Kinsella. This matter is still under investigation.

On July 22, police were contacted by a citizen who advised he had received phone calls from unknown subjects claiming to work for Microsoft or Apple, wanting him to grant them access to his computer. The complainant recognized this as a scam and did not comply with the requests. Police are attempting to follow up on this matter.

That afternoon, police received a complaint of an eastbound gravel truck on Highway 26 with an insecure load. The complainant advised his windshield had been damaged from rocks flying off the truck. A patrol was made but the vehicle in question was not located.

On July 23, police received a complaint of a break and enter to an outbuilding at a local business in Viking. The complainant advised the building had been entered but nothing appeared to be missing. There were no witnesses or evidence left at the scene.
