LIONS PRESENT CANADA DAY FLAGS

    Grade 1 students in the area were given Canadian Flags by local Lions Clubs to help celebrate Canada Day.

    Lions Project Pride is a program operated by Canadian Lions Clubs which sees a five by 10 inch Canadian flag and and an accompanying certificate presented to each Grade 1 student in the community.

    The certificate accompanying the flag says simply:

    My country is Canada.
I am free to be ME regardless of my colour, or beliefs. The symbol of my country is the Maple Leaf. I am proud to be a Canadian.
