Cindy Docksteader cuts ponytail and raises nearly $4,800 for Health Foundation
Early last week, Viking’s Cindy Docksteader donated a 15-inch pony tail to Alfred’s Hair-Kids With Cancer program and, at the same time, raised $4,798.30 which she donated to the Viking Health Foundation to help purchase a Cardiac Telemetry machine.
Viking Hospital Foundation is raising funds to purchase the machine which allows continuous monitoring of a patient’s heart rate and rhythm.
This is the second time Cindy has let her hair grow well over the eight inch limit required to donate.
On Tuesday, May 6 she once again sat down in a chair at Clippers and had her long locks cut for donation. Clippers stylist Janel Field donated the cost of the cut to the cause.
