Word on the Street: Viking RCMP report

On January 27th, police received a report of a domestic dispute that had taken place previously.

The complainant advised she had been assaulted and prevented from leaving the residence during an altercation with her husband. A male suspect has been arrested and charged with Sec.266 CC and 279(2) CC.  He will be appearing in Vegreville Provincial Court in February.

    On January 29th, police received a complaint of a possible impaired driver westbound on Highway 14 near Bruce.

    The vehicle in question was located and a traffic stop was initiated.
