REMEMBER: Love of country was reason for serving

In the spring of 1942 Viking’s Alexander Elmer Thomson proved his love for his country and joined the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF). His discharge records show that when his service ended, he was transferred to General Reserve, so, in a way, he is still part of the RCAF.

Word on the Street: Viking RCMP report

On Oct. 28, police received a complaint of a break and enter at a business in Viking. 

    Unknown suspects were able to gain entry to the building and steal approximately $25,000. worth of goods. The investigation into this crime is continuing.
