Cpl. R. Halter heads Viking RCMP detachment
Viking RCMP has a new Detachment Com-mander, bringing the local detachment back to a full force of four.
The Viking detachment is now under the command of. . . Corporal Rick Halter who took over the posting Nov. 18 and, at the same time, was promoted from Constable to Corporal.
Born in Dodsland, Sask., Cpl. Halter joined the RCMP in 2001 and has served in Saskat-chewan ever since.
After graduating Depot in Regina, his first posting was in Morse, Sask. where he served for five years before transferring into North Battleford.
