Area Events create holiday atmosphere

From the very youngest to the more seasoned performers,

    Last week saw the Christmas season get into full swing across the area with the annual elementary Christmas concert at Viking School on Thursday, followed by the sixth annual lights parade on Friday, Dec. 13 and events such as the Irma Santa Day taking place on Saturday.

    The weather didn’t break until Sunday but despite the snow and cold,
the Viking School gym was filled with  friends and family for the afternoon showing of the Christmas concert.

    Students from Kindergarten to Grade 6 took to the stage and sang and acted their way through a delightful program which dealt with the true meaning of Christmas.

each presentation highlighted the talents of the young people and drew enthusiastic response from the audience.
