On Nov. 27, 87-year old Ralph Tiedemann (center) of Vialta Lodge was presented with a 50-year service pin from Garry Brandt, Secretary Treasurer (left) and Darren Winczura, Exalted Ruler of Viking Elks Lodge No. 83. Tiedemann became a part of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks No. 83 at 37 years of age. During his service he was once a District Deputy. Tiedemann said he was honoured to receive the 50-year pin and happy that the Lodge is still active in Viking. The Viking Elks Lodge No. 83 currently has 16 members. When he was presented with the pin,Tiedemann said, “I will wear this (pin) with pride, gentlemen.”
