Carena Issues discussed by town council

A number of questions concerning the Carena Complex, its concession, sound system and ice rental fees were discussed at the regular meeting of Viking Town council on Nov. 4.

    Mayor David Zayonce asked what the hourly ice rate rental would be for out of town teams looking to rent ice time and was told that the fee is $150. an hour.

    Mayor Zayonce asked if perhaps the rate could be lowered to compete with area facilities which are offering lower rates.

    He said he was asking the question because he had been approached by a Camrose group seeking ice rental time.
