Word on the Street: Viking RCMP Report
On Sept. 30, police responded to a two- vehicle collision at the intersection of Highways 14 and 36.
The collision occurred when an eastbound vehicle attempted to make a left hand turn on to Highway 36 and crossed into the path of a
westbound vehicle. Fortunately there were no major injuries but the driver of the eastbound vehicle was issued a violation ticket for Section 34(2)

On Oct. 1, police received a report of mischief that had possibly taken place over the weekend.
The complainant advised both her front tires blew while driving down the highway and she felt it could have been a result of someone letting the air out of her tires prior to her driving on them.

During the early morning hours on Oct. 2, a citizen called in to report suspicious persons in the town of Viking.
The caller advised he witnessed two youth on the streets and they appeared to be trying to avoid him by hiding in some bushes. Police are continuing to look into this matter.
