Word on the street July 15 – 21: Viking RCMP report

On July 17, police responded to a single vehicle rollover on Highway 14 just east of Viking.

    The driver advised he had been proceeding eastbound when he fell asleep.

    His vehicle then left the roadway, struck an approach and rolled several times before coming to rest in the south ditch.

    Both the driver and his passenger were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

    The driver was issued a violation ticket for driving carelessly.
