County sells grader shed

    The Beaver County grader shed, formerly known as the CE Franklin Building, has been sold to a retail purchaser.

    At its regular meeting on Wednesday, June 19, Beaver County Council passed a motion accepting the bid of $525,000 plus GST from KAR Holdings Ltd. for the sale of the Viking Grader Shed which had been purchased by the County in the Town of Viking in August of 2011.

    The County’s purchase of the CE Franklin building, located on Lots 9 and 10, Plan 032 0523, back in 2011 was finalized at a price of $350,000.

     Beaver County said at the time that it would use the building to store and service its graders and would share the space with the Town for its grader storage.
