Irma councillors do not intend to run again
Councillor Doug Coubrough said that given the fact that three of the five members of council have made it known that they do not intend to run for council in the October 2013 election he has decided to let his name stand for re-election.
“With new staff and new members of council it may be important to bring some history to a new council. I also believe it is important to have people on council who are available for day meetings that could affect the workings of village council,” said Councilor Coubrough.
The four other members of the present council have day jobs and Councilor Coubrough says it is not always easy for them to get away.
