Minnesota Wild draft Carson Soucy 137th

The Village of Irma has one more athletic accomplishment to boast of, as Carson Soucy, born and raised there, was drafted 137th overall to the Minnesota Wild National Hockey League (NHL) team.

“I was extremely excited when I heard the news and it is a huge opportunity, but I still have a lot of hard work ahead of me,” said Soucy.

Drafted out of the Alberta Junior Hockey League, as a member of the Spruce Grove Saints, Soucy will attend a prospects camp next week.
