Village of Irma appoints CAO

The Village of Irma has a newly appointed Chief Administrative Officer (CAO). Neil Loonen will be stepping into the position as of May 21.

    Loonen was born to  Harry and Elizabeth Loonen and raised in Wainwright, and has one younger sister, Sara.

    He attended Blessed Sacrament School in Wainwright, and then went to University of Alberta, Augustana faculty. He has a major in History and a minor in  both Politics and Religion.

    Loonen worked for Augustana’s residence program, which he says helped teach him about the importance of a community.
