Word on the Street – Viking RCMP report
March 20th, police responded to a single vehicle collision on Highway 36, southwest of Viking.
The involved driver advised he had been northbound in a semi tractor unit pulling a flat deck trailer when he came up behind a snow plow.
He applied his brakes but due to the icy road conditions, lost control of his vehicle, crossed the centre line and the southbound lane and entered the west ditch, flipping the truck on its side.
He was assessed for injuries by EMS on scene and released and issued a violation ticket for driving at an unreasonable speed.
