December Viking Town Council Briefs
Viking Town Council was told at its regular meeting Dec. 17 that Viking residents voted almost two to one in favour of the blowing of train whistles.
Council heard that a total of 196 ballots were cast in the matter of whether town council should move forwards and ask CN Rail to stop blowing its horn when passing through Viking’s corporate limits.
Of the 196 ballots cast, 122 voted in favour of the continuation of the horn blowing while 74 ballots voted to stop the horns.
