Investigators in Viking area arrest 4 non-residents for illegal big game hunting

Brendan Cox, Public Affairs Officer with Alberta Justice and Solicitor General’s Office confirmed Monday that two investigations are currently ongoing in the Viking area in relation to illegal hunting of big game.

Cox said four arrests of non-resident persons were made and that all four have since been granted bail.

He said to date no charges have been laid against any outfitters but advised that the investigation is continuing.

He said details will be made public as the investigation processes.
