UPDATE: Decapitated head and headless torso strongly suspected to be gang related

It has been learned that the severed head found in Edmonton this week, and a torso found north of Viking near Ranfurly not only may be the same person but it is suspected that the murder is gang-related.

Apparently the head discovered in a box in an alley-way at 132 Ave and 72 Street may have been placed there as a message from one gang member to another who apparently lives near the area.

The autopsy results from the decapitated head and headless body have not been finalized and the release of the results appear to be delayed. Officials anticipated the news would be public today but it is unclear now whether that will happen.
