Train Whistle views: council asking for public input as times change
Viking Town Council wants your opinion on the train whistles and what, if anything, council should do about them.
At the regular meeting of Town Council on Monday, Oct. 15, council voted to place a survey slip in with the November water bills seeking public opinion on whether council should work towards creating silent crossings at Viking.
Once the survey is filled out, it can be mailed back to the town where the results will be tabulated, giving council guidance as to what action it should follow.
A delegation of half a dozen headed by Dana Ewashko attended council Monday and asking for support with an effort the group is spear-heading to create silent crossings.
