Is Viking the right place at right time?
If Viking Town Councillor Peter McArthur is correct, Viking may just find itself sitting in the right place at the right time.
Councillor McArthur recently returned from the Ports-to-Plains conference in Medicine Hat full of enthusiasm and some definite ideas for Viking’s future in relationship to the route.
The 15th annual Port-to-Plains Alliance Conference took place in Medicine Hat from Oct. 2 to 4 and was attended by a number of local residents.
McArthur attended as a representative of the Veteran’s Memorial Highway Association and was joined by Viking’s Chief Administrative Officer Rod Krips and fellow Councillor Tim Doering who was representing the Battle River Alliance for Economic Development (BRAED).
It was the first time in its 15-year history that the conference took place in Canada.
