5 Irma ball players make Canadian Jr. World team

Five members of the Irma Tigers softball team have been selected to play on the Canadian team in the Junior Men’s World Championship held on Nov. 1 – 10 in Parana, Argentina.

On Oct. 25, a pep rally was held at the Irma School where students, teachers, family and community members showed their support with a packed gymnasium.

The team members were given a hero’s welcome as they were paraded in with applause and the sound of band teacher, Sheldon Frissell’s horn.
