Queen’s Jubilee Medals awarded

At ceremonies in Wainwright and Vegreville hosted by Vegreville-Wainwright MP Leon Benoit this past weekend, area residents were the recipients of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee medals.

    Viking’s own Irene Toverud and Dale Morrical as well as Irma’s Judith Fenton were among the 30 medal winners.

    Presentation ceremonies took place in Wainwright on Friday, Sept.21 and in Vegreville on Saturday, Sept. 22.

    In making the various presentation MP Benoit said he was privileged to host the ceremonies and award deserving receipts with the coveted Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal.
