Alberta Gibson celebrates 100th birthday

Alberta McKay Gibson (nee Downie), celebrated her 100th birthday with family and friends at the Viking Community Hall on Saturday, Aug. 18.

Alberta’s father, Donald Downie came to Canada from Perthshire, Scotland.

He sailed from Glasgow and arrived in Montreal on June 16, 1903.
