Stanley Cup coming to Viking

The Stanley Cup will be in Viking on Saturday, July 21 at the Viking Community Hall from 4 to 6 p.m. and an invitation has been extended to everyone to attend.

Winning Head Coach of the Los Angeles Kings Darryl Sutter (raised in Viking) and his son Chris will be at the hall with The Cup and residents are welcome to stop by, take pictures and view the legendary trophy.

Sutter took over an under-achieving Kings team later in the NHL season and guided them into the playoffs and easily through four playoff rounds to win the coveted trophy indicating the world’s greatest hockey team.
