Dr. and Mrs Cunningham honoured

This past weekend saw many community members gather in honour of Dr. Eamon Cunningham, who has retired after 40 years of serving Viking and area as a general practitioner.

As both he and wife Eileen are avid golfers, the Viking Golf Club took it upon itself to organize an appreciation day of golfing for the couple, followed by a potluck supper.

As part of the celebration Eamon’s Corner was unveiled at the Viking Golf Course and Dr. Cunningham was presented with a green jacket similar to the one given winners of the Masters. In addition, the couple was given a lifetime membership to the Viking Golf Club.
