Volunteer luncheon cancelled

Although the volunteer luncheon planned for Thursday of this week has been cancelled, Viking Mayor Marlene Grandinetti and the Town Council  expressed their appreciation for the work performed by volunteers.

    Calling the many area volunteers “the lifeblood of the community” the Mayor said she is sorry the luncheon had to be cancelled but added that another get-together will be planned in the future to honour all volunteers.
