Local team vies for provincial spot

A win Wednesday, Feb. 22 (tonight) by Viking’s DeeJay Plumbing Midget Gas Kings will secure the team a spot in the  Provincials.

    The Viking team will play  Castor  in the second of two Provincial playoff games tonight at the Carena Complex, starting at 7:30 p.m.

    When the two teams met last week in Castor for the first  provincial playoff game, the Viking team walked away with a 6-1 victory.

    The two-game playoff series is based on the total amount of goals scored so Castor goes into tonight’s game with a decided disadvantage having to defeat Viking by at least six goals.

    Make sure you stop by the Carena Complex tonight for what promises to be an exciting, fast-paced game.
