Fire Chief asks residents to report suspect activities
A number of seemingly systematical, unexplained fires throughout the area over the past months have Regional Fire Chief David Zayonce asking residents to report any suspicious activities they may observe.
A fire alarm at about 3 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 19 alerted Holden and Ryley firefighters to a burning building located on Highway 855 directly south of Holden just north of TWP 480.
Just minutes after the crews had been called to the the fire which consumed the vacant home, another fire call was issued alerting firefighters to the scene of a second blaze within the boundaries of the Village of Holden.
The second blaze was located in the alley behind the Leading Edge Kitchens & Bath on Holden’s main street.
