Mayor addresses taxpayer concerns
Viking Mayor Marlene Grandinetti says town council is currently working on land use bylaws to outline better use of town property and, in doing so, is striving to establish a prosperous future for Viking.
The comment was made during an interview in which the Mayor spoke directly to a letter to the editor which appeared in the Jan. 10 edition of the Weekly Review.
In the letter, Viking business person Andrew Sorenson asked for an explanation as to why council, back in August, had changed its vote from no to yes in regard to the sale of the C.E. Franklin building to the County.
(Monday, Aug. 15, a request from Beaver County to purchase land within the Town of Viking boundary was rejected by town council.
