Word on the street – June 10th – 16th Viking RCMP report

    On June 10, police received a complaint of a “gas and dash” theft from a local gas station. The complainant advised the suspect provided an incorrect pump number to the cashier and paid for a lesser amount of gas than he actually purchased. This matter is currently under investigation.

    Later that same day, police responded to a complaint of an erratic driver northbound on Range Road 154.

    The complainant advised he had been following a red and grey Dodge Dakota that was driving at erratic speeds, crossing the centre line and at one point, appeared to almost roll. A patrol was made but the suspect vehicle was not located.

    That night, police received information regarding a youth who was breaching his release conditions by not obeying the imposed curfew. The investigation into this matter is continuing and charges are pending.
