UPDATE: Breaking news – Sudden Death Near Ranfurly

RCMP Vermilion responded to a complaint of a sudden death in a rural area near Ranfurly, Alberta on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012 at approximately 8:30 p.m.

An autopsy was performed on Monday, Oct.22, 2012. The Edmonton Medical Examiner has ruled this death a homicide.

The name of the deceased, cause and manner of death are not being released at this time. Doris Stapleton, Media Relations Specialist, RCMP ‘K’ Division Communications, did confirm with the Weekly Review that the deceased is a male.

Police say updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
