In coordination with the April 23 Provincial election Viking School will be holding its own election.

On April 20 students from Grades 6 to 12 will vote for one of the candidates running in the Vermilion-Lloydminster riding.  More than 150 students are expected to vote.

The Alberta Government will send the school ballot boxes, voting screens and anything else needed to hold an election.

The Grade 6 class will be coordinating the election meaning the students will be setting up the polling stations, organizing the voting and after everyone has voted, counting the ballots.

The official results of the school’s election will not be released until after the April 23 election.
