Council vows to get serious with Carena

Viking town council voted April 2 at its regular council meeting to inform Beaver County that it is on board with memorandum of understanding attached to the release of funds by the County for the Carena Complex.

    In addition to accepting the conditions in the memorandum, Viking council members vowed to immediately, “get serious” about finding management for the Carena Complex and working towards putting the facility to full use throughout the year.

    Beaver County council passed a  motion at it regular meeting March 22, agreeing  to turn over $197,000 to the Viking Carena Complex. The County had been holding the funds in reserve.
