An application for the position of manager of the Carena Complex and a proposal for a hockey summer camp were among the council documents at the regular meeting of the Town Council Monday, April 2.

The application for the manager’s position will be forwarded to the steering committee which will make all hiring decisions and the author of the hockey summer camp proposal, Stephen Hunter, will be invited to the April 16 council to further discuss his idea.

The application for the manager’s position said the applicant was submitting a resume as the result of  a story which appeared in the  March 27 edition of the Weekly Review.

The article quoted Viking Mayor Marlene Grandinetti as saying the first thing needed to make the Carena a self-sufficient business is, “a forward thinking, aggressive, organized manager on site.”
