Mayor-elect of Viking grateful for support – wishes to improve communication with residents

With Viking’s new council set to be sworn into office at an organizational meeting to be held on Wednesday of this week, Mayor-Elect Jason Ritchie is looking to some future goals for himself and council.

“I am extremely honoured and overwhelmed to be voted in as mayor for the Town of Viking,” he said, via Facebook after the Oct. 16 municipal election.

After thanking his family and those who voted, he said:
