That afternoon, police received a call from a citizen in Viking advising he had found a toddler in his backyard.  The child had no shoes on and the caller didn’t know who his parent’s were.

While police were attending the residence, they received another call from a frantic parent advising his child was missing from his home.  The toddler was returned to his parent who advised he must have opened the back door and walked out without the parent’s knowledge.  Children’s Services will be following up with the family.
