VIKING Council hears CAO report on County meeting, agrees to LED light conversion

The Town of Viking’s Regular Meeting of Council was held on Nov. 21, 2016 at 5:30 p.m.

Council first voted to adopt in principal the draft changes to the InterMunicipal Development Plan outlining the “Short Term Annexation Area” as proposed by Vinicia Planning and Engagement Inc. The document was discussed by Council at their October meeting and the amendments were accepted at this meeting.

Next to be discussed was the Beaver Emergency Services Capital Invoicing. The Town of Viking Capital Requisition invoices for 2014 (in the amount of $11,858.25) and 2015 (in the amount of $14,065) have not been paid.

Council was also provided with the 2016 capital requisition invoice for $16,005.

Interim CAO Al Harvey told Council “I cannot say why the invoices were not paid, only that they were not.”

He also asked Council to be aware to the fact that, according to a BESC document, the Village of Ryley is the only municipality in Beaver County that has paid their 2014, 2015, and 2016 invoices… FOR MORE SEE THE NOV. 29/16 WEEKLY REVIEW
