Council talks summer ice, liquor license, federal funding

A regular meeting of Viking Town Council was held on Oct. 17.

Council heard a presentation from Beaver Municipal Solutions updating them on the Landfill Approval Renewal process.

Members of BMS explained that the Landfill Permit must be renewed every ten years and that they were currently in the process of doing so. Council also heard an update on the Landfill, located near Ryley.

The BMS presenters mentioned their plans to become a municipally controlled corporation as opposed to a Commission. Council would discuss actions needed to address this later in the meeting.
